Job Description
Insight Global's client is looking for a Remote Transmission Engineer to sit in VA or w/in 200-miles of the VA boarder. This person will be responsible for preparation and completion of engineering designs and documentation. They will coordinate, prepare, and check calculations, specifications, reports, design details, plans, and drawings -- sag calculations, pole designs, overhead design, underground design, etc.. Additionally, they will assist in supervision of team members and check work done by project team members. Responsible for adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget.
Other responsibilities include:
* QA/QC checks of designs, documents, and calculations
* Interaction with clients in the field and/or meetings
* Occasionally provide direction to project design T-line teams comprised of engineers, designers, and technicians
* Assist with creating project scope, budget, and proposals
Required Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of experience within Transmission Line Design
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably electrical engineering)
* PLS-CADD experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* PE or EIT
* Experience leading design teams for t-line projects
