Job Description

Insight Global is looking to hire on a Sr Manager of Commission Programs (ICM) for a large customer in the Fort Mill, SC area. This role will require someone to be onsite for the training and then will move to a hybrid position with at least 4 days in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

ICM System Ownership & Implementation Leadership
- Serve as the functional owner of the ICM platform (e.g., Oracle, Varicent, Xactly), responsible for overall system strategy, configuration, performance and compliance
- Lead end-to-end ICM system implementation, enhancements, and upgrades, including requirements definition, design, testing, and deployment
- Partner with IT and vendors to manage integrations, data architecture, and system roadmap
- Ensure system scalability, automation, and long-term sustainability

Commission Program Strategy & Execution
- Oversee end-to-end commission operations, ensuring accurate, timely calculation and payout of incentives
- Translate complex compensation plan designs into system logic and operational processes
- Drive continuous improvement in commission processes, controls, and reporting
- Identify risks and proactively address gaps in execution or design

Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop a team of 2–3 professionals, including technical (ICM/system-focused) and business/project-oriented resources
- Set priorities, manage workload, and ensure high-quality deliverables across system and operational activities
- Provide coaching and development to build both technical and business acumen within the team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Cross-Functional Partnership & Business Engagement
- Act as a strategic partner to Sales, Finance, and HR leadership on commission matters
- Gather and translate business requirements into scalable system and process solutions
- Drive alignment across stakeholders on plan design, system capabilities, and operational timelines
- Communicate program changes, system updates, and impacts clearly to leadership and end users

Strategic Planning & Insights
- Provide data-driven insights on commission performance, trends, and plan effectiveness
- Partner with leadership to refine compensation strategies that drive desired behaviors and outcomes
- Support annual plan design cycles, modeling, and mid-year adjustments
- Recommend enhancements that improve ROI, transparency, and seller engagement

Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Establish and maintain strong governance, audit controls, and documentation for commission processes and system configurations
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, internal audit standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support audit activities and ensure readiness through proper documentation and controls

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Analytics, or related field
- 7–12+ years of experience in incentive compensation, sales operations, or commission program management
- Hands-on experience with ICM platforms
- Oracle experience
- Proven experience leading system implementations or major enhancements
- Demonstrated people leadership experience managing technical and business resources
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with large-scale ICM transformation or platform migration (e.g., Varicent to Oracle)
- Experience with other ICM software's (Varicent, Xactly, or similar)
- Knowledge of sales compensation design and modeling
- Advanced analytics capabilities (Excel, SQL, BI tools)
- Experience in complex or high-growth environments
