Job Description

Insight Global is looking for 4 full time Electrical Design Engineers. Candidates will assist/lead electrical engineering efforts across projects from pre-sales through commissioning to design and optimize data center power systems (UPS, DC systems, switchgear, generators) based on client load requirements. They will develop electrical designs, control schemes, and system configurations, including PLC/relay-based automation while performing system sizing and analysis (e.g., generators, load types, power distribution). They will also create and review BOMs, schematics, and construction documentation while coordinating with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure designs are accurate and buildable. Candidates will manage and support integration partners to deliver full design packages (SD/DD/CD)
• Ensure code compliance and quality control throughout design and installation
• Support construction and commissioning phases, including testing and validation of systems
• Travel to job sites for site reviews, audits, and startup support
• Troubleshoot and solve technical issues during installation and operation
• Interface with clients to define scope, answer RFIs, and deliver solutions
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve system performance and design efficiency

Salary: 110-130k

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of Electrical Engineering experience
• Knowledge of low voltage switchboard / switchgear design, installation, and use
• Knowledge of local, state, & federal codes governing the installation and use of low voltage switchboards/switchgear.
• Working knowledge in AutoDesk suite of Engineering software including AutoCAD and Revit
• Proven experience with Microsoft Office Applications
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications
• Understanding of the current version of the National Electrical Code

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional engineering (PE) License
