Job Summary
The Purchasing Manager leads sourcing and procurement activities supporting manufacturing operations, ensuring reliable supply, competitive total cost, and strong supplier performance. This role develops and executes sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials while leading a purchasing team and partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to achieve business objectives.

Job Duties
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, delivery, and supply continuity.
• Lead and develop a team of buyers responsible for procurement execution and supplier management.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and performance through structured scorecards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Production Planning and Operations to align procurement with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and production schedules.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts for direct materials and indirect services.
• Identify and deliver cost reduction, value engineering, and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Utilize ERP and procurement data to manage spend, monitor KPIs, and drive performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support global sourcing initiatives and manage supply chain risks affecting continuity of operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or CPM/CPSM preferred).
• 7–10+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations.
• Experience managing or leading purchasing teams.
• Exposure to global supply chains and ERP-based procurement systems.
