Job Description

Insight Global is seeking Mechanical Design Engineers to join the engineering team of one of our top clients in Greenville, SC. This is an onsite role, supporting gas turbine manufacturing through close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing quality and design integrity by updating drawing tolerances to reduce defects and by dispositioning manufacturing nonconformances. You will serve as a key point of contact between vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure issues are evaluated accurately and resolved efficiently. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and addressing nonconformances related to component variation, assembly challenges, reliability concerns, and bill of materials discrepancies. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of engineering experience with a strong focus on manufacturing support, deviation management, and quality-driven design changes. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience with CAD tools such as NX Unigraphics, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar software. Experience working within a PLM system is strongly preferred, and prior exposure to ANSYS is highly desirable.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
• 2–3 years of professional experience in a mechanical or manufacturing-focused engineering role
• Proficiency with CAD software such as NX Unigraphics, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools
• Hands-on experience working with manufacturing deviations, nonconformances, and engineering design changes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate and resolve complex manufacturing and quality issues

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems
• Experience using ANSYS (highly preferred)
• Experience with hot gas path components
