Job Description

• Administer HR programs and procedures; assist with policy development and departmental goals
• Conduct quarterly HR record audits
• Support full cycle recruitment for exempt and non exempt roles, including resume review, interviews, offers, postings, and advertising
• Coordinate pre employment requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and physicals
• Complete E Verify reporting for new hires within required timelines
• Support employee orientation and onboarding processes
• Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, communications, claims support, change processing, and invoice approvals
• Support annual open enrollment and assist with benefits provider evaluation
• Administer Leaves of Absence, Workers’ Compensation, Short and Long Term Disability, and FMLA claims
• Respond to unemployment claims and participate in hearings as needed
• Recommend process improvements to increase HR efficiency and service quality
• Maintain and update job descriptions and participate in annual salary surveys
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment regulations
• Support employee wellness, recognition, community outreach, and company/charity events
• Maintain awareness of and support compliance with ISO 14001 standards
• Prepare and maintain daily and monthly KPI reports

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and two – three years’ experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
• Experience with full-cycle recruitment
• Proficiency managing pre-employment processes, including background checks, drug screens, physicals, and E-Verify
• Experience conducting HR audits and maintaining accurate, compliant employee records
• Knowledge of benefits administration
• Experience supporting Leaves of Absence, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and disability programs
• Ability to manage unemployment claims and participate in hearings
• Strong reporting skills, including daily and monthly KPI tracking
• Proficiency with HRIS/ATS platforms and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
