Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a CNC Programmer to join their team. This is an onsite role with standard 7am-4pm EST working hours. The CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming and simulation and debug, at the machine setup, problem solving, troubleshooting, process development/testing, first piece prove out. Below is an overview of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
• CNC Programming: Develop and validate CNC programs for various machining operations.
• Simulation and Debugging: Perform CNC program simulations and debug issues to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Machine Setup: Set up CNC machines, including selecting and installing appropriate tools and fixtures.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming and machine operations.
• Process Development: Develop and test machining processes to optimize performance and quality.
• First Piece Prove Out: Conduct first piece prove out to verify program accuracy and machine setup.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support for CNC machine operations and programming.
• Data Analysis: Analyze machining data to identify trends and provide insights for process improvements.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of CNC programming and setup processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with export control regulations and stay informed about changes in these regulations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills & Experience

• High School diploma (preferred: 4-year degree in engineering or 2-year technical degree in machining).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in NX CNC Programming (3+1 axis).
• Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls.
• Working knowledge of Vericut.
• On-machine setup experience.
• Knowledge of Renishaw probing macros.
• Prefer experience machining heat-resistant super alloys and power generation or aerospace experience.
• Macro variable programming knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Passionate about continuous improvement and applying LEAN principles.
