The RN will provide specialized nursing care for patients with cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, education, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history, vitals, and diagnostic data.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, risk factor reduction, and post-procedure care.
Collaborate with cardiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals for seamless care delivery.
Monitor cardiac status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR (Epic experience preferred).
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (JCAHO, DHEC) and facility policies.

Education: BSN or higher
Certifications:
Cardiac-Vascular Nursing Certification (CV-BC)
Certified Heart Failure Nurse or Cardiac Rehab Professional
Experience:
3+ years in cardiac outpatient or heart failure clinic
Experience with cardiac rehab or vascular procedures
Technical:
Strain and 3D echocardiography familiarity
Experience with Philips or similar cardiac imaging systems
Soft Skills:
Empathy and emotional intelligence for patient-centered care
Strong critical thinking and quick decision-making in cardiac emergencies
