Job Description
We are seeking a Referrals Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and execution of our referral management system. This role blends product ownership with technical expertise, requiring someone who can manage roadmaps and stakeholder relationships while also understanding and supporting the setup of healthcare data integrations.
What You’ll Do
- Own and execute the product strategy for the referral management module, aligning with company goals.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap focused on features, enhancements, and integrations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (clinicians, healthcare providers, IT teams) to gather and prioritize requirements.
- Translate requirements into user stories, manage the backlog, and partner with engineering for delivery.
- Support implementation specialists with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
- Participate in client meetings to test, validate, and troubleshoot referral connections.
- Ensure the referral module is intuitive and user-friendly for healthcare professionals.
- Monitor performance, analyze feedback, and drive continuous improvement.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, support, and implementation teams.
Team & Collaboration
- Work closely with a 5-person product team, a 2-person referral implementation team, and a 6-person client management team.
- Expect daily collaboration with implementation specialists and 2–3 client meetings per week.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare technology, ideally in referral systems or interoperability.
- Strong understanding of HL7, SFTP, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare data exchange.
- Proven ability to manage product roadmaps, write PRDs, and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience working with development teams and understanding software delivery processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
- Ability to support technical setup of referral connections and troubleshoot integration issues.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A former engineer (e.g., data engineer, EDI engineer) transitioning into product management.
- Someone who can speak the technical language and support integration calls with clinic IT teams.
- Comfortable spending ~75% of time on product strategy and ~25% on technical support and troubleshooting.
