The Data Analyst is an analytical role dedicated to supporting data-driven initiatives within a manufacturing company. This involves a comprehensive approach to data management, from ensuring data integrity and consistency to developing sophisticated analytical models. The primary objective is to extract meaningful insights from complex operational and business data, creating reports, dashboards, and forecasts that inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement across all facets of the manufacturing process.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources within the manufacturing environment (e.g., production systems, quality control, supply chain, sales, finance).
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar, to present key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains through data analysis.
Perform root cause analysis for production issues, quality defects, and operational bottlenecks.
Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and sales teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
Develop and implement statistical models to forecast demand, predict equipment failures, or optimize production schedules.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting and analysis.
Document data sources, methodologies, and findings clearly and concisely.
Stay up to date with industry best practices in data analytics, manufacturing technologies, and steel production processes.

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in the steel industry is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing, forecasting).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS) and manufacturing execution systems (MES) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
