Job Description

nsight Global is looking for a MLT or MT to join a major hospital system in the Charleston, SC area.

The Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) OR Medical Technologist (MLS) in the Fast Flow Department plays a critical role in delivering rapid, high-volume diagnostic testing to support urgent and emergent patient care. This position requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment. The technologist performs a wide range of laboratory procedures, ensures quality control, and collaborates with clinical teams to provide timely and accurate results.

Shift available, first shift: 630a - 3p. Rotating weekends and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, chemistry, immunology, and urinalysis.
Prioritize and process high volumes of specimens with speed and accuracy.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated analyzers and laboratory instruments.
Monitor and document quality control and quality assurance procedures.
Recognize and resolve technical, instrument, and specimen issues.
Communicate critical values and test results promptly to healthcare providers.
Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations (e.g., CLIA, CAP, OSHA).
Participate in continuing education and training of new staff or students.
Uphold safety protocols and infection control standards in all lab activities.

Requirements:
Associates or Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology or scientific discipline.
Certification as a Medical technologist by ASCP or certification as a medical lab technologist by ASCP or NCA.
Previous lab experience
