Job Description

Seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and management of the companys vehicle and equipment fleet. This includes ensuring vehicles and machinery are safe, well-maintained, cost-effective, and compliant with all regulations. The Fleet Manager also supervises drivers and mechanics, monitors fuel usage and expenses, and implements systems for tracking fleet performance.
Position Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Manage day-to-day operations of the vehicle and equipment fleet.
Track vehicle mileage, wear, and performance through fleet management software.
Oversee procurement and disposal of fleet vehicles and equipment.
Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
Analyze cost and implement cost-control strategies for fuel, repairs, and parts.
Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on fleet performance and expenses.
Respond to incidents, accidents, or vehicle breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
Work with vendors and suppliers for parts, services, and vehicle acquisition.

Required Skills & Experience

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of Fleet Management experience required managing heavy civil equipment
Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
Monitor fuel usage, service records, registration, insurance, and licensing.
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, DOT regulations, and fleet tracking (GPS) systems required.
Experience in managing heavy equipment and construction vehicles required. Ex. Dozers, Excavators, Loaders (CAT equipment)
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
