Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance Team Lead for a growing automotive manufacturing plant in Piedmont, SC. This individual will be responsible for the following priorities:

Responsible for understanding daily production requirements to be able to support the production demand.
Coordination and planning of job and task assignments for the technicians on their shift.
Assist with ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime of production; support machinery and systems.
Effectively provide either one-on-one instructions to team members or in a small group setting.
Work with minimal supervision and multi-task effectively / efficiently
Accurate documentation of daily work using TMS (or similar systems) to ensure maintenance KPIs (key process indicators) and machine history is relevant for future reference.
Follow 5S standards and maintain professional work environment
Ability to identify and ensure technicians have the tools, parts and supplies necessary to complete assigned tasks (PMs, projects, corrective maintenance tasks)
Proficient computer skills (i.e., accurate record keeping, document data searches, research, etc.)
Assist in identifying skill gaps in technicians and delivery/coordination of hands-on training to improve those skill gaps
Assist in review of machine PMs and determine if any updates are needed including intervals of PMs

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
Electrical: Controls logic (120 VAC, 24 VDC) and components
Control and Quality Systems: Sensors (to include laser, fiber optic, proximity); Measurement sensors
PLC: Ability to troubleshoot; Ability to perform program edits
Pneumatics: Ability to understand and troubleshoot pneumatic circuits; Ability to work with pneumatic components
Mechanical: High level of mechanical skill; Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems
Utilities Systems: Air compressors (Understanding air compressors; Ability to troubleshoot and repair)
Robotics: Ability to perform point teaching; Ability to program move modifications
Welding: Ability to weld SMAW/Stick or GMAW/Mig
Hydraulics: Ability to understand and troubleshoot hydraulic circuits

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
Electrical: 3 phase power(480, 208 three phase) systems, controls and equipment; Electrical install to include ability to properly install machinery (size wire, conduit, fuse protection, bend conduit)
Control and Quality Systems: Camera vision systems; Load cells
PLC: Ability to perform programing
Pneumatics: Ability to replace components
Mechanical: Good understanding of mechanical drive components; Ability to perform mechanical rebuilds
Utilities Systems: HVAC systems (Ability to troubleshoot and repair); Cooling Towers (Understanding cooling towers; Ability to troubleshoot and repair)
Robotics: Ability to troubleshoot robot control faults; Ability to perform PMs; Ability to make mechanical repairs
Welding: Ability to weld GTAW/Tig
Hydraulics: Ability to work with hydraulic components; Ability to replace components
