Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Junior Systems Administrator to support a client in Charleston, SC. This individual will support user account lifecycle operations, mobile device management processes, and administrative tasks across both Microsoft and Google environments. This position is ideal for a Tier 3 Help Desk Technician or Junior Systems Administrator looking to work in a structured, documentation-heavy role without direct troubleshooting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working within Microsoft Azure/Entra ID, Intune, and/or Google Workspace, with a strong focus on account provisioning, access control, and identity management. This role supports the Systems Administration team with core administrative tasks that are critical to maintaining our identity, access, and endpoint management environments.

Primary Responsibilities:
Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in:
o Microsoft Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
o Google Workspace
o On-premises Active Directory (Legacy)
Assign licenses and manage user roles in cloud platforms (Azure/M365/Google)
Process and document mobile device inventory and management workflows via Microsoft Intune or Google MDM
Review and work through service tickets assigned to the Systems Admin queue, focused solely on account and access tasks
Maintain and update internal documentation related to user account processes, identity management procedures, and MDM standards
Assist with onboarding and offboarding checklists and account audits
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure alignment with security and compliance standards
Participate in routine account audits and group policy/application role reviews
Identify process improvement opportunities within scope (but no implementation or troubleshooting required)

Required Skills & Experience

13 years of experience with Microsoft Azure AD/Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and/or Google Workspace Administration
Prior experience in a Tier 2/3 Help Desk or Identity & Access Management (IAM) support role preferred
Familiarity with account provisioning workflows, MDM systems, and cloud licensing
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Ability to follow structured processes with high attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ticket-driven environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Associates or Bachelor's degree in IT field of study
MDM experience
