Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant.

Develop and maintain accounting principles and best practices to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
Analysis of variances and forecasting for the business units from top to bottom
Maintain and manage the consolidated reporting for other areas such as accruals, goodwill and intangibles, intercompany, foreign currency, ownership over our international divisions and others as necessary
Implement best practices and ensure accrual general ledger and accounting methods adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Provide support to the Controller and Accounting Manager
Process journal entries and day to day operations into the accounting software ensuring accuracy and policy procedures
Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation
Summarize and prepare financial status and transactions reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports
Play a vital part in the company's financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties
Provide ad hoc financial reports, tables, exhibits as requested
Prepare detailed internal financial reports, including researching and explaining significant variances by working closely with various departments and management
Provide assistance to Accounting Manager on key accounting tasks/deliverables
Investigate and report to the Manager or Controller any inconsistencies or improprieties
Assist with annual financial statement audits
Prepare and/or reconcile balance sheet accounts as assigned on a monthly basis

Compensation:
75K to 80K per year annual salary

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
* 3+ years of public accounting experience (min of $90M revenue)
* ASC 606 experience (revenue recognition)
* NetSuite experience (ERP system) -- user level
* Expert user of Microsoft suite of products, including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
* Strong data analytics and manipulation skills
* Knowledge of industry standard accounting principles, best practices, and procedures
* Proven experience with process documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls in a dynamic environment
* Thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
* Experience with financial consolidations, eliminations, and segment reporting
* Ability to read and interpret accounting rules and guidance as well as perform research and conduct investigations as necessary
* Excellent written and speaking skills including preparation and presentation of verbal and written reports, presentations, and recommendations
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet individual goals and deadlines
* Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
* Demonstration of the highest level of integrity and trust
