Insight Global is looking for a Software Transition Project Manager to join the team of their top energy customer in Greenville, SC. This position is onsite in Greenville, SC with some remote days (Mondays and Fridays). This role could also sit in Schenectady, NY. This position will reside within the PMO covering functional PLM ownership and will focus attention on helping drive development activities, establish organized standards/rigor, address standard work change needs, foster organizational alignment readiness, and provide some oversight for activities being handled by parties engaged in a new PLM deployment effort. This role is primarily supporting a change from one PLM software to another.
Core responsibilities of the Project Manager include:
- Day-to-day engagement in new PLM platform development project
- Give dedicated attention to SQDC, ensuring quality steps are taken, budgets remain within estimated ranges, and delivery schedule stays on track.
- Ensure stakeholder expectations are being formally managed and understood.
- Resource gaps are identified, and attention given to address them where possible.
- Project status reporting is consistent with minimal faults.
- Prioritization of development tasks are given regular attention.
- Project processes reach an accepted level of consistency and are given attention across all VBOs, other Value Streams, and core platform foundational needs.
- Makes sure training plans are covering User base and the organization of hypercare is in place following go-live.
- Help mitigate vendor risk (our Business Integration and Systems Integration parties) by monitoring, influencing, and reporting on overall and specific team progress and contribution.
- Introduce unique perspectives and experience concerning the complex dynamics of PLM implementation projects.

- Proficiency with Project Management, PMP preferred but not required.
-Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
- 4+ years experience in a contributor role covering software functionality for large enterprise software conversions from one platform to another platform, preferably in PLM (ERP, MES also considered).
- Proficiency in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and change management methodology.
- Must have good communication skills and be a team player.
- Basic understanding of engineering design and manufacturing for industrial products/projects, Agile software development approach(es), and the application of Lean methods/tools.
