A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Staff Accountant. This individual will oversee two of the company's newest business units to include full financial reporting and GAAP compliance. One company is in its infancy stage (completed 1st year) and another is an acquisition currently operating on cash basis, but it will be necessary to convert over to GAAP. Each provide excellent opportunity to grow processes and procedures from the ground up. This role has the opportunity to grow and expand as the company scales.
* Develop and maintain accounting principles and best practices to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, analysis of variances and forecasting for the business units from top to bottom.
* Maintain and manage the consolidated reporting for other areas such as fixed assets and capital, cash, intangibles, and others as necessary.
* Implement best practices and ensure accrual general ledger and accounting methods adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
* Provide support to the Accounting Manager as well as the CFO.
* Process journal entries and day to day operations into the accounting software ensuring accuracy and policy procedures.
* Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation.
* Summarize and prepare financial status and transaction reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary reports.
* Play a vital part in the company's financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties.
* Provide ad hoc financial reports, tables, exhibits as requested.
* Prepare detailed internal financial reports, including researching and explaining significant variances by working closely with various departments and management.
* Aid Accounting Manager on key accounting tasks/deliverables.
* Investigate and report to the Manager or CFO any inconsistencies or improprieties.
* Prepare and/or reconcile Cash, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and other balance sheet accounts on a routine basis.
Compensation:
60K to 65K per year annual salary
