Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Financial Controller. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all areas relating to finance, accounting, and treasury.



* Oversee and manage the accounting group.

* Implement best practices and ensure accrual general ledger and accounting methods adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

* Oversee operating procedures in accounting and finance, tax reporting, risk management, mergers & acquisition support, company controls and compliance measures.

* Directly support the CFO.

* Oversee the close of the monthly, quarterly, and annual business unit and consolidated financial statements.

* Prepare quarterly lender reports.

* Assess the needs of the business, prioritize projects, and drive new reporting requirements to completion.

* Oversee and assist with the annual audit and income tax returns.

* Analyze financial statements monthly, including income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows.

* Manage risk management and compliance.

* Prepare and lead annual budget process.

* Treasury review and approvals.

* Prepare and coordinate monthly management and quarterly board presentations.

* Assist with mergers and acquisitions.

* Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

* Play crucial role in implementing new software for department improvement and efficiency.

* Investigate and report to the CFO any inconsistencies or improprieties.

* Research balance sheet items and income/expense fluctuations utilizing various systems and information sources.



Compensation:

150K to 160K per year annual salary

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

* 5-7 years of public accounting/financial analysis experience (min of $90M revenue)

* ASC 606 experience (revenue recognition)

* NetSuite experience (ERP system) -- user level

* 2+ years of management experience

* Expert user of Microsoft suite of products, including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook

* Strong data analytic and manipulation skills

* Knowledge of industry standard accounting principles, best practices, and procedures

* Proven experience with process documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls in a dynamic environment

* Possess a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

* Experience with financial consolidations, eliminations, and segment reporting

* Ability to read and interpret accounting rules and guidance as well as perform research and conduct investigations as necessary

* Excellent written and speaking skills including preparation and presentation of verbal and written reports, presentations, and recommendations

* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet individual goals and deadlines

* Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

* Demonstration of the highest level of integrity and trust

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* CPA and/or Masters in Accounting or Finance

* M&A (merger and acquisition) experience
