A client of Insight Global is seeking a mid-level EHS Professional for a short-term contract position to support EHS programs and ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This individual will be assisting during a summer shutdown within the automotive manufacturing division of a large engineering client. Responsibilities include maintaining EHS programs and policies and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, conducting risk assessments and hazard assessments, leading safety audits, and other genera site safety duties. Maintaining accurate documentation and reports is crucial for this position; this person must be technologically savvy and have strong communication skills to present findings across divisions and all levels of leadership. This role requires a strong knowledge of OSHA construction and general industry EHS standards in order to recognize any hazards and communicate required improvements as needed to protect the integrity of the facility and work.

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in environmental health and safety, occupational health and safety, or a related field
-3+ years within a professional EHS role
-Strong understanding of EHS standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
-Computer savvy w/ the ability to navigate standard MSFT office products
-Knowledge of relevant EHS regulations, standards, and best practices
-Excellent communication and people skills
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-EHS experience in the automotive manufacturing space
-Certification in a relevant EHS discipline (CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.)
