Job Description
Insight global is looking to hire a data scientist to support an industrial automation company. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines written in Python using libraries like Flask and Pandas to extract, transform, and load raw data into a data warehouse. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining data visualizations and reports using Python libraries like Plotly, Matplotlib, and Flask. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining interactive dashboards in Microsoft PowerBI, managing data warehouses in SQL and MongoDB, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to iteratively develop actionable insight from raw data, developing predictive maintenance applications using machine learning, and generating automated reports for internal and external stakeholders. These tasks require a combination of technical, analytical, and communication skills. You will need to be proficient in Python programming, data visualization, and data warehousing. You will also need to be able to work collaboratively with other team members and stakeholders to develop actionable insights from raw data. Finally, you will need to be able to communicate your findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
- Previous experience in software engineering with an emphasis on data science and analytics.
- At least 1 year of experience with Python programming language and libraries such as Pandas, Plotly, and Flask
- Experience with interactive data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
- Experience with SQL Database Management
- Able to work in a culture of continuous improvement; drive for simplicity, cost reduction, and overall process improvements
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with Machine learning applications
- Experience with Industrial automation equipment
- Experience with NoSQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
