Job Description
**MUST BE LOCAL TO SOUTH CAROLINA, WILL NEED TO COME ONSITE ONCE A MONTH. We are looking for a Data Analyst who will support our retail, distribution, transmission, and corporate teams with insights gained from analyzing our data. We are seeking an analyst to build and maintain BI and analytics solutions that transform data into knowledge and support machine-learning engineering activities. The ideal candidate will be someone versed with Power BI, OBIEE technologies and working knowledge of ETL such as Pentaho Data Integrator, Azure Data Factory or Databricks workflows. You will be responsible to transform raw data into relevant insights via interactive and simple-to-understand dashboards and reports.
You must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. They will be required to support, develop, and implement data driven solutions used to analyze data and generate useful business analytics.
Responsibilities for this role:
* Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
* Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
* Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
* Recognize business requirements in the context of BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant insights
* Using Power BI and other related tools to create dashboards and interactive visual reports
* Define key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and track them regularly
* Analyze data and display it in reports to aid decision-making
* Convert business needs into technical specifications and establish a timetable for job completion
* Create, test, and deploy Power BI scripts, as well as execute efficient deep analysis. Use Power BI to run DAX queries and functions
* Create charts and data documentation with explanations of algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships
* Construct and support data warehouses
Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of data analysis experience (open to a candidate with a masters or PHD right out of school)
* Proficiency using PowerBI to build reports and dashboards, ability to run DAX queries on Power BI desktop
* SQL experience
* Experience working with and creating data architectures
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Oracle OBIEE experience
* Python, R, or Azure Databricks experience
* Understanding of the Microsoft and Oracle BI Stacks included cloud-based and hosted solutions.
