Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a SR IT Manager. The SR IT Manager will be the lead strategist and executor for technology infrastructure, ensuring its alignment with company policies and regulations. This individual will manage IT operations, spearhead IT transitions during mergers and acquisitions, and maintain relationships with outsourced IT vendors. This hands-on role requires direct involvement in troubleshooting and problem-solving as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee technology infrastructure and operations in environments with high regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
* Help align technology with business drivers by effectively communicating with non-IT company stakeholders and decision-makers on IT topics.
* Lead IT transitions during mergers and acquisitions to minimize disruption to business operations.
* Manage relationships with outsourced IT vendors, maintaining service level agreements and fostering productive partnerships.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards for the management and use of technology within the company.
* Handle contracts and vendor relationships for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software.
* Help create and implement compliance reporting frameworks (e.g., SOC I/SOC II).
* Help create incident response plans that cover outsourced IT and development; handle incident escalation, as needed.
* Create and maintain documentation of all IT systems and services.
* Leverage documentation to assist in audits and compliance initiatives.
* Assess usage of Office365, Google Suite, and other cloud applications, identifying and implementing operational and security improvements.
* Provide direct technical support to users, including hands-on troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
Required Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
* Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT administration or a related role, with 10 years' experience preferred
* Demonstrated experience managing IT for environments with high regulatory compliance
* Proven track record in managing IT transitions for mergers and acquisitions
* Experience managing IT in a hybrid/remote environment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Highly capable of Microsoft 365 administration and support
* Comfortable with administration and support of other modern SaaS business applications
* Can effectively diagnose and troubleshoot common end user issues with computers, peripherals, mobile phones, printers, etc
* Sound, working understanding of IT networking, including physical media, protocols like DHCP/DNS, etc
* Knowledgeable of cybersecurity topics and keeps up with industry trends
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience with Apple products is a bonus
