Insight Global is seeking a Communication Engineer to join one of our largest federal clients in an effort to keep the Air Force network up and secure in South West Asia. This candidate will be working in a lab environment where they will engineer, design, repair and implement Unified Communications. They will troubleshoot all VoIP QoS issues, make recommendations and implement solutions that mitigate further problems. This candidate will be using Cisco Call Manager, Video VOIP, and troubleshooting IP. Develop reports and provide oral and written briefs to present to government leaders/decision-makers. The position will be on Shaw Airforce base in Sumter, SC. There will be 25% travel involved over 2 years you will spend 60 days in South West Asia with some travel to Alabama.
- B.S. in a related field with 5 years of relevant experience; or 7 or more years of relevant IT experience
- DoD active Security clearance
- 8570 compliant (Security +, CCNA or equivalent)
- VMware Certified Associate (VCA) or (VCTA)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- ITIL Foundation (within 60 days of starting)
- Cisco call manager experience
