Job Description

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Entry-Level or Associate Industrial Engineer to join our team in North Charleston South Carolina.

This is a contractual position expected to last 6 months with the possibility of renewal.

Position Responsibilities:

Applies basic industrial engineering concepts approaches and techniques to product process and services to meet program requirements
Supports the development of plant and equipment layouts capacity plans accident prevention measures sequencing of operations and work flows
Participates in the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations
Assists with designing maintaining and optimizing the production system by integrating design supply base facilities equipment and personnel
Conducts basic work flow design and analysis
Develops simple models databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders
Supports research design develop improve and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance lower cost and improve quality for large scale systems integration and asset utilization
Supports implementation plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods
Documents product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices
Supports the preparation of operations plans includes work statement analysis budgeting and forecasts capacity and constraint analysis and production change to ensure technical goals and objectives are met
Supports execution planning by using project management planning and scheduling and shop load practices
Provides production supply chain logistics performance visibility and recovery planning support
Follows compliance requirements with established industry safety design standards and ergonomic guidelines
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. U.S. Person includes U.S. Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.

Basic Qualifications Required Skills/Experience:

Bachelors degree or higher in an engineering field
Preferred Qualifications Desired Skills/Experience:

1 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Typical Education Experience:

Entry-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry e.g. Bachelor or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard

Associate: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry e.g. Bachelor and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience e.g. Master. In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard

Relocation:
