Staff Accountant

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Staff Accountant to sit remote in the Charleston, SC area. Our client is a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on acquiring, developing and managing medical office buildings and outpatient facilities throughout the United States. The position involves full cycle accounting for a portfolio of medical office buildings.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Responsible for monthly and quarterly close procedures

- Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis

- Provide accounting support to the portfolio's asset managers

- Other various accounting and analytical responsibilities

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required

- Understanding and familiarity of GAAP and SOX compliance

- 1+ year experience with general ledgers

- 1+ year of experience with accrual accounting

- MS Excel, Word and Outlook experience

- Excellent deductive reasoning and problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to research; strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy

- Experience using an ERP system
