Staff Accountant

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Recovery Accountant to sit remote in Charleston, SC. This person could also sit in Nashville, TN but would work on a hybrid schedule.



Our client is a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on acquiring, developing and managing medical office buildings and outpatient facilities throughout the United States.



The position involves full cycle accounting for a portfolio of medical office buildings. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Responsible for monthly and quarterly close procedures

· Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis

· Provide accounting support to the portfolio's asset managers

· Other various accounting and analytical responsibilities

· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - NOT NEGOTIABLE

- Understanding and familiarity of GAAP and SOX compliance

· 2+ years Commercial Property Accounting experience preferred

· Intermediate to advanced level knowledge with MS Excel, Word and Outlook, with experience in MRI or other equivalent system preferred

· Excellent deductive reasoning and problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to research; strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy

· Team player; willingness to help department meet goals and responsibilities

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
