Insight Global is seeking Turbine Module Design Engineers to join one of their top clients located in the Greenville, SC area. This is a remote opportunity. The Turbine Module Design Engineers are component owners of hardware to be designed or modified; includes responsibility for all aspects of design - mechanical design, model/drawing definition, creating a bill of materials and releasing into PLM, supporting hardware procurement and manufacturing / assembly support. Work with Drafting, Sourcing & Manufacturing, and coordinate interfaces across Aero, Heat Transfer, and Materials, and Design teams. Will interact with different teams such as Supply Chain and Manufacturing. Potential to be a component/hardware owner/specialist. While this is a design focus, candidate should still have enough analytic competency to work on models. This role is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, 7am-4pm EST (Flexible with time zones).
At least 3 years utilizing ANSYS experience doing structural and thermal analysis (Classic highly preferred)
At least 4 years experience with Unigraphics/NX doing design work
Familiarity with FEA and PLM software
Bachelors in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or similar
- If Associates Degree, must be senior level engineer with 7+ years experience
Background in turbomachinery/gas turbine industry, or aerospace
