Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a high-impact initiative focused on transforming and standardizing our Indirect Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes across North American Retail Operations. This project will modernize our procurement processes through enhanced SAP S/4HANA capabilities, increased automation, and stronger SOX-compliant financial controls.
The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and IT to deliver streamlined, scalable, and compliant processes that reduce complexity and enable future growth

· Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Indirect Procure-to-Pay process improvement initiative, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scope, budget, and timelines.
· Facilitate definition of project scope, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with Business Owners, Sponsors, and Steering Committee members.
· Apply appropriate project methodologies (agile, waterfall, or hybrid) to suit the scope, complexity, and integration needs of the initiative.
· Partner with Procurement, Finance, and IT to define and implement standardized processes in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with system capabilities and controls.
· Develop a comprehensive gap analysis between current-state and desired future-state Indirect P2P processes, identifying opportunities for simplification and automation.
· Ensure SOX compliance through improved internal controls, audit readiness, and financial reporting accuracy.
· Engage with key business areas and SMEs to define roles and responsibilities, improve data integrity, and provide clear, actionable process documentation and training.
· Identify and manage project risks and interdependencies, proactively mitigating impacts on schedule, budget, and quality.
· Prepare and present executive updates and Steering Committee materials that clearly articulate progress, risks, and decision requirements.
· Champion organizational change by promoting user adoption, process discipline, and continuous improvement mindsets across stakeholder groups.
· Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and establish a foundation for ongoing process governance and optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

· 10+ years of progressive project management experience, leading large-scale, complex business transformation initiatives.
· Demonstrated success managing Procurement, Finance, or ERP transformation projects, ideally involving SAP S/4HANA.
· Proven ability to deliver process standardization and automation-first solutions that improve control, compliance, and operational efficiency.
· Strong understanding of SOX compliance requirements, internal controls, and financial reporting implications.
· Skilled at communicating complex information succinctly and effectively to executive audiences.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of proactive risk identification and resolution.
· Adept at balancing business needs with system capabilities and driving consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
· Recognized for leadership, diplomacy, and the ability to lead up, across, and down the organization.
· Comfortable managing high-pressure, high-visibility initiatives requiring adaptability and resilience.
· Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
· PMP certification (or equivalent) required; Agile certification considered an asset.
Preferred Experience:
· Experience working within Procure-to-Pay or Finance transformation initiatives.
· Knowledge of VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) and integration with SAP financial modules.
