Insight Global is looking for a Geology Data Scientist for a 6 month contract. This is an on-site opportunity, with the expectation to be located in Saskatoon. A successful candidate will be a highly skilled Data Scientist with a strong background in both geology and advanced analytics to join the Converged Tech team. This role will focus on developing and deploying detection systems for geological anomalies within underground potash mining environments. The ideal candidate will blend hands-on geological expertise with advanced data science and machine learning abilities, collaborating across mine operations, engineering, and technology groups to identify, classify, and predict hazardous ground conditions.

Proven experience with data science methodologies (machine learning, pattern recognition, anomaly detection) in industrial environments.
Strong understanding of underground mining processes and geological hazard identification.
Familiarity with Saskatchewan potash geology and classification of normal and anomalous conditions is a strong asset.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a safety-first environment.
Bachelor degree or higher in Geology, Geological Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
