Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a team focused on building scalable, event-driven applications that support pharmacy order and patient notification workflows. This engineer will take ownership of designing and developing APIs and microservices from concept through delivery, partnering closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to drive solutions to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Python and Kafka
• Build and maintain real-time event processing solutions and distributed systems
• Architect and implement cloud-native applications in Azure or GCP
• Develop and deploy solutions within Kubernetes environments
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define technical solutions and execute delivery
• Partner with offshore developers while serving as the primary technical owner for assigned projects
• Lead design discussions and contribute to overall system architecture
Compensation:
$40-50/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Python development
• Experience designing and implementing Kafka-based event-driven architectures
• Hands-on experience building APIs and microservices
• Experience with Kubernetes and either Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills
Ability to independently own projects from design through implementation
