Job Description

This person will play a key role in building the backend .NET web services and APIs that enable next-generation member and claims experiences across both web and mobile platforms.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Support a multi-year digital transformation initiative focused on modernizing member-facing web and mobile experiences, including member portals, claims applications, and other customer-facing platforms.
Design, develop, and enhance scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations that power web and mobile applications.
Collaborate with product, architecture, UX, and engineering teams to deliver secure, high-performing solutions.
Modernize legacy .NET applications and contribute to cloud-enabled, event-driven architectures.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack, including application code, APIs, databases, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of full-stack .NET web development experience with expertise in ASP.NET Core and .NET Framework.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, Entity Framework, MVC, Web Forms, Web APIs, and SQL Server.
• Experience building and supporting enterprise web applications, APIs, and system integrations.
• Strong understanding of application infrastructure, including IIS, DNS, IP networking, SSL certificates, source control, and CI/CD pipeline troubleshooting.
• Expertise in modern web application architecture, including event-driven systems, cloud-based solutions, integrations, and automated testing practices.
• Advanced SQL Server development skills, including database design, query optimization, stored procedures, and PL/SQL/T-SQL development.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Blazor.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON/XML, and application architecture patterns.
• Proven ability to write scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code.
• Experience working in Agile, SAFe, and/or Waterfall environments.
• Some experience leveraging AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies to improve developer productivity and code quality.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Azure cloud, GitHub, and Azure DevOps CI/CD experience.
• Experience with .NET MAUI for cross-platform desktop and mobile application development.
• Knowledge of web application security best practices.
• Microsoft certifications preferred.
• Healthcare or insurance industry experience, including HIPAA, PHI, and PII compliance.
