Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join a team responsible for building and enhancing a strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) self-service portal. This portal serves as a centralized platform for access-related services including MFA, password management, application onboarding, application integration, identity verification, and exposing identity-related data to customers.
This role will focus heavily on backend Java development, API development, IAM integrations, authentication, authorization, and enterprise security. Front-end work is limited, but candidates should have a foundational understanding of React and TypeScript for occasional enhancements and integrations. Key Responsibilities will be:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Java applications using Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs supporting IAM and access management services.
- Integrate with enterprise identity platforms, including Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, OAuth 2.0, and related authentication/authorization technologies.
- Develop and support new IAM capabilities and shared services APIs.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and development teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute throughout the SDLC.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize application performance.
- Support integrations between the self-service portal and various backend IAM systems.
- Contribute to ongoing modernization efforts aligned with a multi-year product roadmap.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7–10+ years of software engineering experience with end-to-end application delivery.
- Strong expertise in Java 17/18 and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON.
- Hands-on experience with IAM concepts and technologies, including: Authentication, Authorization, Single Sign-On (SSO), OAuth 2.0, Active Directory (AD), LDAP, Experience integrating applications with identity management platforms and services
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience providing production support and resolving complex application issues.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with React.js and TypeScript.
- Experience working with cloud technologies such as Azure, - AKS, AWS, or GCP (Azure preferred).
- Experience working on customer-facing self-service portals.
- Experience building IAM, access management, or security-focused applications.
- Familiarity with containerized and cloud-native deployments.
- Experience designing scalable APIs for enterprise platforms
