Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a hands-on PeopleSoft Administrator to provide technical support across PeopleSoft Student, HR, Payroll, and Finance environments.
This role focuses on day‑to‑day system administration, environment management, automation, and operational stability, while also supporting upgrades, cloning, and larger project initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong technical depth in PeopleSoft administration, Linux systems, Oracle databases, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and can operate independently with minimal ramp‑up time.
- Provide day‑to‑day system administration support for PeopleSoft Student, HR, Payroll, and Finance modules
Perform PeopleSoft patching, upgrades, environment maintenance, and refreshes
- Manage PeopleSoft environments across development, test, and production
- Support application server administration within PeopleSoft and Linux environments
- Troubleshoot and resolve PeopleSoft, server, and integration issues
- Execute server management tasks including cloning, patching, upgrades, and replacements
- Build and maintain automation scripts and workflows to improve operational efficiency
- Document system configurations, administrative procedures, and operational runbooks
- Manage ticket intake, prioritization, and workload through ITSM tools
- Support project execution, timelines, and deliverables alongside the Enterprise Applications and ITS teams
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and operational readiness within OCI-hosted environments
Pay $85-93.5/hr

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of PeopleSoft Administration experience
Hands-on experience supporting PeopleSoft Student, HR, Payroll, and Finance modules
- Strong experience managing PeopleSoft environments using PeopleTools, App Designer, and related tools
- Experience administering Linux-based systems (Amazon Linux preferred)
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft with Oracle databases
- Proven experience performing PeopleSoft patching, upgrades, and environment refreshes
- Experience managing PeopleSoft systems hosted in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Ability to write automation scripts (shell, scripting tools, or similar)
- Experience managing application servers in a PeopleSoft + Linux environment
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex ERP environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM/ticketing platforms
- Prior experience documenting and building operational frameworks or runbooks
- Exposure to higher‑education or public‑sector PeopleSoft environments
- Experience supporting automation initiatives or infrastructure optimization efforts
- Strong project‑execution mindset with the ability to manage concurrent priorities
- Comfortable owning work independently and driving tasks to completion
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented problem solver with a “figure it out” mentality
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong documentation discipline
