Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a remote Java Developer to support a large healthcare client. This person will need to sit offshore in India to support applications around grievances, appeals and complaints. This person must have strong development skills in Core / Advanced Java, and J2EE, Junit and Java SDK 1.8. They also must be well versed in Spring Boot (Embedded Tomcat), REST & SOAP API skills and experience in Web Services (SOAP and REST). They will be writing documented, idiomatic, and tested Java code, and producing, maintaining, and modifying REST APIs while ensuring APIs are developed using industry best practices, and fixing any issues or bugs that arise. They will be defining and implementing microservices design patterns to ensure scalability, flexibility, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience

Gathering requirements: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand the purpose of the system integration and the points of integration between systems
Developing APIs: Writing documented, idiomatic, and tested Java code, and producing, maintaining, and modifying REST APIs
Testing and deploying: Ensuring APIs are developed using industry best practices, and fixing any issues or bugs that arise
Integrating: Cooperating with front-end developers to integrate RESTful APIs, and communicating with external web services
Designing: Defining and implementing microservices design patterns to ensure scalability, flexibility, and maintainability
Identifying challenges: Identifying and addressing technical challenges and roadblocks
Collaborating: Fostering collaboration among team members and cross-functional teams, and working closely with DevOps teams to facilitate the deployment process
