Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager to join one of our DoD customer's teams to support a fast-paced and dynamic project. The opportunity is hybrid in Middletown, RI. This position supports the Program Manager and is responsible for leading an Integrated Product Team (IPT) through the engineering lifecycle from conception through production and installation. The role requires a strong problem solver, who can identify/anticipate requirements, handle complex tasking, and provide creative solutions to the team.
Responsibilities
Manage a portion of a large multi-year project as part of a team of IPT leads, each with their own specific area of responsibility within the project.
Use principles of servant leadership to lead a cross-functional team of subject matter experts through a fast-paced and continuously evolving project.
Implement and improve upon Integrated Product Team (IPT) Charter, Project Management Plan, and After-Action Reports.
Leverage subject matter expertise with your own knowledge and experience to solve roadblocks and develop innovative solutions to emerging problems.
Assess, and enhance programs: Requirements Definition, Strategic Planning, and Stakeholder Analysis.
Utilize Agile methodology and risk management tools to enhance project tracking, coordination, Critical Path Analysis and de-conflict with other projects.
Provide project Metrics and Performance Standards based on the project milestones and outcomes that are traceable to the Program Managers key performance parameters.
Support technical and other program teammates on project management principles, techniques and processes to include assessing Project Status, Reporting, Progress Tracking, Control Gates, Data Management, Project Communication, Risk Analysis, and Stakeholder involvement.
Prepare briefs and other documentation, and working with customers, stakeholders, and team members to solve problems and ensure the schedule.
Organize, update and maintain information repositories including design documentation, master schedules, collaboration tools and a wide range of Government Furnished Information (GFI).
Perform process analysis, process improvement and monitor/control processes.
Assist with enhancement of Project Management Review, Agile Scrum, and Project Deep Dive processes.
Develop and present needs assessments, briefings, position papers, and reports.
Utilize business process tools and specialized expertise to streamline initiatives and integrate disparate rules, policy, and technologies.
Facilitate meetings, informal workshops and brown-bag-type sessions related to Program Manager initiatives, methodologies, and programs for audiences up to the executive level.
Compensation:
$45-65/hour

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree
3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or Program Analyst
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active SECRET clearance.
Strong familiarity and experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
Comprehensive and thorough knowledge of: Creative Problem Solving, Decision Briefing, Project Management Processes, Project Activity Implementation, Risk Management, Strategic Planning.
Knowledge of: Change management, Facilitation, Organizational Assessment, Process Modeling, Consensus Building, Organizational Restructure, Design and Implementation, Project Management Processes, Data Modeling, and Benchmarking/metrics.
Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to support customers needs, clearly communicate (orally and written) ideas, take initiative to provide creative solutions to challenges and/or systemic problems.
