As a Geospatial Data Engineer at Top Fortune 500 Property Insurance company that is a leader in commercial and industrial property insurance and risk management, you will contribute to the mission of mitigating risk and protecting the value the clients create. You'll be a part of the Remote Assessments team, utilizing geospatial data and advanced GIS technologies to assess clients' properties and identify potential risks. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a remote, technology-driven environment and enjoys the challenge of analyzing and interpreting complex data to provide actionable insights. This is a fully remote, 40 hour week, 6 month contract with high potential to extend to 3+ years!





Responsibilities:

Perform geospatial data analysis and create data models using Esri software for remote property risk assessments.

Develop SQL queries for spatial data retrieval and manipulation to support risk analysis.

Manage geospatial databases, ensuring accuracy, and efficiency in remote assessments.

Apply Python scripting to automate data processes and integrate various data sources.

Process elevation data (DSM/DTM) to aid in modeling and risk evaluation.

Analyze raster/vector data to support remote assessments of natural hazards.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves

3+ years of hands-on experience with Esri development.

Strong expertise in SQL for complex query writing.

Proven track record of managing geospatial databases.

Advanced knowledge of Python development in a geospatial context.

Experience in processing and analyzing elevation data (DSM/DTM).

Self-motivation and the drive to work independently with high attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses

Proficient in working with raster and vector data.

Experience with Esri Workflow Manager development.

Background in natural hazards modeling such as flood, wind, wildfire, earthquake, etc.
