Remote Redis DBA

Our client is a leading health solutions organization with over 300,000 dedicated employees nationwide. The Redis DBA role is a highly skilled technical position that involves intricate knowledge of Oracle, Redis and MongoDB. This individual will be supporting a highly prioritized environment of 500+ databases for both projects and production support. They will be responsible for database installations, configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, backup and recovery, problem diagnosis and resolution. Day-day responsibilities include:



1. Manage all aspects of the physical database including schemas, DDL, users, security, etc. in development, UAT and production environments

2. Identify and resolve problems occurring in all database environments including performance related issues (i.e. database & SQL tuning).

3. Perform database software installs, configurations, patches, upgrades, and migrations.

4. Assist with performance and Disaster Recovery testing

· 2+ Years of Hands on experience with Redis

· Oracle DBA Experience

· Experience with deploying the Redis clusters in Linux and cloud env

· Strong Understanding of Redis Data Structures and data management

· Experience with Redis Cluster Data Sharing

· Experience with troubleshooting and performance optimizations for Redis deployments

· Experience with scripting and automation of tasks

· Ability to sit onsite in Woonsocket, RI or Scottsdale, AZ 2-3x/week

· Experience with other no-SQL databases along with Redis such as Mongo is preferred
