Job Description

Insight Global is seeking Intermediate and Senior Electronic Technicians to join a major Canadian space company. These technicians will support the production, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of space‑grade electronic and RF systems. The role is hands‑on, lab‑based, and focused on executing and validating established test processes in a highly regulated production environment.

Responsibilities / Tasks:
• Assemble and modify electronic units and test bench configurations based on approved procedures or technical guidance.
• Perform assembly, modifications, and verification of equipment test benches.
• Conduct tests, alignment, and calibration of intermediate-complexity production units and systems.
• Record data related to test or experiment results. Prepare reports and may make recommendations within assigned tasks.
• Monitor and test units in thermal or vacuum chambers.
• Follow and understand flight hardware test and validation processes.
• Perform work in accordance with internal procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Able to search for documents and parts using MDA electronic tools (WebPLM, InforLN, etc.).
• Support troubleshooting activities, investigate test failures, and collaborate with engineering to resolve issues.
• Perform other related tasks.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
• College diploma (DEC) or equivalent degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or a related technical discipline.
•2 to 5 years of experience in an electronics production, manufacturing, or test environment
•Hands-on experience with electronic assembly processes and production support
•Experience creating or supporting routing slips, work orders, and production documentation
•Ability to support traceability, schedules, and in-process quality checks
•Comfortable working directly on the production floor
•Must be eligible for Canadian Reliability Status, SECRET clearance, and the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
•Proficiency in French or willingness to learn

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience supporting NCRs, ECNs, rework, or deviation processes
• ERP system experience
• RF technician background
• Hands‑on experience operating electronic and RF test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators).
• French language proficiency
