Payload EGSE Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Payload Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) Engineer to join the Satellite Systems team at a major Canadian Robotics, Satellite Systems and Geointelligence company. The successful candidate will be responsible for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for advanced telecommunication satellites at both payload and spacecraft integration stages.
Tasks :
Review test plans and test system requirements, assess feasibility and propose efficient implementation
RF and Electrical System EGSE Design, implementation, commissioning and maintenance
Production of relevant EGSE documentation
Operationalize EGSE for high volume production
Participate in cross-functional teams
May need to supervise testing activities.
Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.

Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
3- 5 years of experience in test station design and implementation for electronics in one of the following field: digital, analog, power or RF electronics.
Experience in testing electronic systems, ideally related to communications payloads
Extensive experience with laboratory instrumentation such as network analyzer, high sampling oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generators and modems

Ability to communicate in French/English
Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in test station design and implementation for electronics in one of the following field: digital, analog, power or RF electronics.
Experience in testing electronic systems, ideally related to communications payloads
Extensive experience with laboratory instrumentation such as network analyzer, high sampling oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generators and modems
Knowledge of communication protocols such as CANbus, SpaceWire, SPI serial link
