Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a UX Designer to join a large logistics client. This client believes in customer-driven design solutions. Learning from our customers helps build viable, feasible, and desirable solutions to problems and grow through innovation. The User Experience Designer is the lead in designing engaging and effective user experiences for our product development, collaborating with the Product Group and Product Developers to discover, design, engineer and deliver new solutions through the entire product development lifecycle. User experience and design is an integrated part of the full end-to-end product development process, from strategy, and workflow planning, to user experience design, and testing sign off. Understand user process and design the interface based on their process. Will partner with front end developers and Product Owners for engineering and standardization. * This designer will be the expert in UI for the team.

* Reviewing all user facing applications, determining what changes need to be made if there is a more optimal way of designing them.

* This designer will be collaborating with end users & PO's, maybe some developers & architects.

* One of the six web applications this team is responsible for is being rewritten so this designer will be heavily involved in this area, but they will also be reviewing all other applications in our environment.

* Create & Maintain product user personas, process, journey maps, empathy maps, and story maps.

* Create and test product concepts, wireframes, designs, and prototypes for experimentation and development.

* Apply customized user driven design practices, including specialized interviewing and statistical product site data, to understand business process elements, user experience and potential problem situations in designing solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

* 5+ years' experience of UX designing on web applications.

o Creating wireframes, designs, prototypes, story maps, journey maps, empathy maps, etc.

* Understanding of web standards, capabilities, and best practices (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).

* Experience with Sketch, InVision, and Figma, as well as design systems.

* Experience collaborating with back-end developers and engineers.

* Strong design leadership skills: Capable of advocating for quality design while also acknowledging the constraints.

* Good communication - ability to host collaborative feedback calls with the end users of the applications.

* Experience working in an Agile environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Experience working within a SAFe Agile framework

* Ability to show a portfolio of work
