A large retail client is seeking a Desktop Technician to sit onsite in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This position is for a technical Desktop Support Specialist who will be handling ticketing support at level 2 and 3 through Jira. They will be functioning as the Technical desktop support specialist that will be involved in the daily support of the business as well as working directly on refresh projects and interacting with the user community as well as other team members within the organization. Support users and resources of the MAC and PC Hardware and software environment to ensure effective use of resources and user productivity and satisfaction. Responsible for all aspects of systems configuration, performance, and operation. Assist in the deployment of PC technology throughout the organization. Responsibilities include:
* PC Refresh Project
* Unbox and Install New PCs, Laptops and Printers
* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
* Once new equipment installs are complete, cleanup work area and complete an inventory on equipment to make sure all old/new equipment has been accounted for
* Inventory and Decommission old equipment
* Wipe decommissioned hard drives using a provided wipe disk
* Work with Logistics to schedule a pickup of old equipment
* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- 1+ year of desktop and refresh support experiene
- Ticket Support
- Experience supporting Windows 10
