Job Description

A large government services company is seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to work with Enterprise Information Management team to analyze, develop, implement, and support the EDI infrastructure. The individual will also provide training to another member who is new to IBM Sterling B2B integrator and assist with documenting procedures.



The individual is expected to have expertise and experience in multiple relevant areas with a focus on system and data integration to write use cases, test cases, and develop robust integration flows. The individual will be a member of the Leidos Enterprise Information Management team and interface with SOA experts, Java developers, and Informatica developers. They will also support the EIM team in developing roadmaps for process enhancements, which could include migrations to other tools or the cloud.



The successful candidate should be able to work with technical team members, analysts and process owners for a given requirement or process. The candidate will design and develop technical solutions according to pre-defined requirements and enterprise standards and expected to have hands-on participation and facilitation of the full SDLC for multiple, concurrent development projects.



The focus for this role is training another team member on IBM Sterling, as well as doing hands on work. This is a contract through end of the year.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; desire to train and work with less tenured developers
