Job Description
A client is seeking an experienced and licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our growing team. This individual will play a key role in managing and overseeing surveying projects, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high-quality deliverables. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in land development, transportation infrastructure, and survey operations while contributing to business growth and client development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform and oversee ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction layout activities.
• Conduct boundary analysis, prepare legal descriptions, and provide quality control oversight under Pennsylvania Professional Land Surveyor licensure.
• Support land development and Department of Transportation (DOT) projects from planning through execution.
• Develop grading plans and minor stormwater management designs for land development projects.
• Review project deliverables for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Utilize Civil 3D and standard survey field equipment to support project execution and documentation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
• Foster client relationships and identify opportunities to expand services and generate new business.

Required Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
• Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Pennsylvania.
• 10 years of professional surveying experience. (they are willing to be flexible but needs experience)
• Extensive experience with ALTA/NSPS, boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Strong background in land development and transportation/DOT projects.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and standard survey field equipment.
• Demonstrated experience preparing legal descriptions, grading plans, and basic stormwater management designs.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
