Job Description
F5 Load Balancer Consultant to design, implement, migrate, optimize, and support F5 BIG-IP application delivery infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with enterprise load balancing, application security, SSL offloading, DNS, high availability, and automation. The consultant will work closely with network, security, and application teams to deliver highly available, secure, and scalable solutions.
•Design, deploy, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP platforms.
•Implement and support:
o Local Traffic Manager (LTM)
o DNS (formerly GTM)
o Access Policy Manager (APM) (preferred)
•Configure:
o Virtual Servers
o Pools and Pool Members
o Monitors
o SNAT
o Profiles
o Persistence methods
o iRules
o SSL Profiles
•Perform application migrations from legacy load balancers (Citrix ADC, Cisco ACE, A10, Radware, etc.) to F5 with minimal downtime.
•Perform hardware migrations from legacy load balancers (NetScaler) to F% with minimal downtime.
•Configure and troubleshoot:
o SSL offloading
o SSL bridging
o End-to-end encryption
• Develop and maintain high availability configurations
•Configure Global Server Load Balancing (DNS/GTM).
•Implement web application firewall policies and application security controls.
•Analyze network traffic using Wireshark, tcpdump, ssldump, and F5 packet captures.
•Perform upgrades, installations, and software lifecycle management.
•Monitor system health, capacity, and performance.
•Create technical documentation including:
o Build guides
o Method of Procedures (MOPs)
o Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
o Network diagrams
•Participate in maintenance windows and change management activities.
•Provide Tier III escalation support for production issues.
•Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure teams to onboard new applications.
•Automate F5 deployments using Infrastructure as Code where applicable.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
