Physician Billing/AR Follow-Up Representative

Key Responsibilities:
Manage physician billing AR follow-up for unpaid and underpaid claims
Work assigned Epic work queues throughout the day to identify and resolve outstanding accounts
Research claim rejections, denials, and claims with no payer response
Contact payers and review claim status to determine next steps toward resolution
Resolve billing issues that prevent reimbursement
Work across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
Document follow-up activities and maintain accurate account records
Day-to-Day:
Heavy work queue management in Epic
Reviewing and working outstanding claim balances
Following up with insurance companies on claim status
Resolving rejected, denied, and aging claims
Maintaining productivity and quality metrics

Physician Billing (Professional Billing/PB) experience
AR Follow-Up experience
Insurance claims follow-up experience
Experience researching claim denials, rejections, or unpaid claims
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
Ability to work independently in a high-volume work queue environment

Epic experience
Experience managing multiple payer types
Denial management experience
