Educational and Experience Requirements:
Associates degree in physical science required. Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of industry experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
Familiarity with wet chemical analysis, water chemistry, acid/base titrations, spectrophotometric analysis, ICP-OES, liquid IC, and similar analytical methods. Computer literate with advanced writing skills. Has the ability to initiate tasks and work in an independent manner. Can handle shifting priorities to best meet customer needs. Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and written with visitors, professional and plant personnel. Experience with Ion Exchange Resins is a plus.
Responsibilities and Authority:
• Receives and catalogues Sales Service Samples and maintains accurate log sheet
• Communicates status of analysis to sales persons
• Runs the appropriate analyses of Ion Exchange Resin samples
• Interprets results of the analyses and their relationships
• Produces a report and distributes it to the proper Ecolab sales person(s)
• Completes work in a timely manner to meet customer expectations
• Assist Chemists with synthesis and experiments
• Perform low to moderately complex Plant Support tasks in addition to Analyst duties
• Performs other duties as assigned
• There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position

Wet chemistry experience such as manual titration, pipetting, handling acids and bases, and preparing dilutions
