Job Description

One of our large pharmaceutical clients in Malvern, PA is seeking a Scientist to support laboratory data automation and integration initiatives for the Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) Digital & Automation team, helping drive seamless operation and digital transformation of a fully automated laboratory. This role serves as a critical liaison between scientists, automation teams, robotics engineers, and digital platform owners to ensure seamless end-to-end automated laboratory workflows. In support of the automated lab for cell & gene therapy processing and formulation, this role supports the integration of a proprietary-built software platform with BIOVIA OneLab and Robotics software for sample management. This position will focus on digital process mapping, workflow testing, requirements gathering, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to enable efficient and reliable automated laboratory operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Support Data Leads for digital deliverables within a fully automated lab
o Work with automation and scientific teams to deliver on method-specific milestones
• Support data leads with BIOVIA OneLab deliverables for process analytical sciences methods
o Work within BIOVIA OneLab system to build out testing scenarios
 Sample submission and assigning activities in the system to support end-to-end testing
o Facilitate knowledge transfer from scientific team to BIOVIA OneLab team for recipe development
o Learn data automation process to provide first level support to Malvern automation lab
• Provide project management support for data automation team
o Work with automation operations leads to maintain lines of communication
o Utilize Monday.com tool for project timeline/deliverable tracking
o Lead meetings where necessary and/or document key takeaways and action items

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with BIOVIA OneLab lab management software
• Bachelor's Degree, ideally in a scientific discipline (Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or related field)
• 2–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory automation, or digital laboratory environments
• Understanding of laboratory workflows and ability to translate scientific requirements into technical solutions
• Strong organizational, project coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with system testing, workflow validation, and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com)
• Cell and gene therapy
