Job Description

As the Director, Master Data Management, you will be responsible for leading a regional, cross-functional team focused on ensuring the integrity of the Client's master data and supporting business processes. This role will contribute to the overall data strategy while leading governance, stewardship, data quality, and master data initiatives that drive consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence across the organization and with key business partners.
You will establish the vision and direction for Master Data Management (MDM) products and capabilities, providing leadership for data governance, domain management, and master data solutions. The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders across Enterprise Applications, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, and other business functions to build trusted data assets that support strategic decision-making and business growth. You will be accountable for driving data governance processes and influencing cross-functional teams to adopt enterprise-wide master data standards and best practices.
Responsibilities

Partner with business functions and stakeholders to identify master data and governance opportunities and drive ongoing process improvements.
Establish, build, and oversee the organization's Master Data domains and supporting governance framework.
Define and implement standards, best practices, data models, automation strategies, and governance procedures to improve data quality and consistency.
Drive harmonization of master data processes across the organization to create a unified and trusted view of critical business data.
Build and lead teams of data stewards, master data domain experts, architects, and analysts responsible for designing and implementing master data solutions.
Collaborate with Enterprise Applications, Data & Analytics, and other technology teams to support data integration, syndication, and consumption across the enterprise.
Champion a culture of data quality and data ownership by ensuring Master Data Management capabilities are understood, accessible, and effectively utilized throughout the organization.
Develop and monitor KPIs and metrics that demonstrate the value, business impact, and effectiveness of master data initiatives.
Establish and communicate Master Data Management best practices across people, processes, governance, and technology.
Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement of master data processes, leveraging advanced technologies and automation to maximize business value.
Lead data governance initiatives and ensure alignment between business objectives, regulatory requirements, and data management practices.
Foster strong relationships with business leaders and stakeholders to promote adoption of enterprise data standards and governance policies.
Support strategic initiatives by ensuring high-quality, trusted master data is available to drive operational and analytical needs across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of IT application, data, or operational systems experience.
7+ years of experience within Master Data domains, including Product, Customer, Supplier, Reference, or related data domains. (P360, C360, S360, R360)
Experience building and leading Master Data Management programs, teams, and governance functions from the ground up.
Experience designing, implementing, and managing Master Data domains, processes, and governance frameworks.
Experience overseeing, developing, or implementing Master Data Management products and solutions.
Strong experience leading teams of Data Stewards, MDM Architects, Data Analysts, and related data management professionals.
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, stewardship, and master data best practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across business and technical teams.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to executive, business, and technical audiences.
Proven leadership experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives and cross-functional programs.
Strong strategic planning and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge business and technology objectives.
Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management capabilities in complex environments.
Ability to manage ambiguity and make informed decisions involving large-scale data and business processes.
Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Master Data Management certifications or related data governance certifications.
Graduate-level knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, knowledge representation, and advanced statistical concepts.
Experience leveraging AI, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics within Master Data Management programs.
Experience managing data-intensive projects involving advanced analytics, predictive models, or machine learning solutions.
Experience implementing modern data platforms, intelligent data governance, and automated data quality frameworks.
Experience driving enterprise-wide digital transformation, data modernization, or advanced data strategy initiatives.
