Job Description
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for all aspects of structural engineering design for assigned projects under the direction/support of a firm principal.
• Revit (BIM) modeling of structural design.
• Interface Revit (BIM) modeling with engineering software (Tekla Structural Designer).
• Perform advanced structural analysis and design for various materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Follow company standards for BIM content and development procedures.
• Use expertise to review and interpret technical documents from other consultants.
• Review shop Drawings for compliance with construction contract documents.
• Conduct site visits and structural observations for work in progress.
• Issue field instructions, respond to RFI’s, and other Construction Administration Documentation.
• Prepare engineering reports based on visual inspections and review of the available building drawings.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes and industry standards
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors.

Required Skills & Experience
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil with Structural Engineering Emphasis or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering with Structural Emphasis
• Experience: Minimum of 6-10 years of progressive structural engineering experience in the A/E/C industry
• Software: Strong working knowledge of structural analysis and modeling software, such as AutoCad and Revit.
• Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Other: Well-versed in seismic design/structural design utilizing steel, concrete, wood, light gage steel, and masonry, Interest in developing leadership, business development, and management experience and has experience and/or understanding with project coordination/management.
