A client of Insight Global is looking to add a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in the Dallastown, PA area who is responsible for designing and developing mechanical and structural systems for defense programs—such as tactical shelters, racks, and panels—while ensuring all designs meet customer specifications, contract requirements, and strict DoD standards. They work closely with customers and internal teams by participating in design reviews, guiding CAD designers, creating technical documentation, and coordinating with manufacturing and vendors to ensure designs are accurate, efficient, and ready for production.

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves
• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
• 4+ years of experience in engineering
• Being able to refine and modify designs for production needs
• Experience working with SolidWorks
• Experience with leading a team of engineers or looking to take the next step into leadership
• Experience with troubleshooting design issues and improving manufacturability
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses
• Experience within the Defense Industry
• Security Clearance
• FEA (finite element analysis) experience with ANSYS software (model-based stress testing)
